He's no good to me dead...


I heard about this technique on another blog about using toned paper and markers to set the values. Then after he values were set you go over the markers with color pencil. I tried it out with this pic of Boba. I think the original looks better than the scanned version. But all in all, I liked it.

That's awesome dude. Sorry I haven't commented in awhile. I usually check your blog from my phone so I can't comment. Anyways, your last few pieces have been awesome! Keep up the good work. Your animals are especially good. You've done a lot of individual pieces. It would be cool to see a short narrative. Even something without dialogue. I mean if you want to get into comic books you'll hopefully be doing more than just splashes or covers. Show us your story telling skillz!

Anything Boba Fett will play to my sympathy card, but I do agree that the pic loses something in the scanning. The paper version feels like it has moe texture, which i think was the point of the experiment.
I agree with oxkin though, showing some story telling should be another step in the process.

This is nice work! What medium? marker and toned paper with some color pencil? watercolor?
